1. Files up to 65MB; Load through the file upload area, pressing the "Send file to print" button and wait for the automatic validation done by the system. You must be logged in.

2. Files from 100MB up to 2000MB (2G): You can send by WeTransfer or any other file transfer system via the web, to the email novoupload@berci.pt, indicate in the message your name and order number.

See below for supported formats and other tips for easily upload your files.

File Formats

You can send us your final file in one of these formats:

PDF
This format is most suitable for vector/curves jobs, mostly small formats.

JPG
This format is best suited for large-format jobs.

File Orientation

The orientation of the format must match the settings selected in the order options. Remember to enter the width (base) of the document, and then the height of the document.
This is important to determine the correct arrangement of accessories such as eyelets, ribs, sheaths ...

Predefined templates

In the process of creating and customizing your product, in point 3. Completion of the customization, you have at your disposal two buttons, one "template" and other "instructions".
We recommend that you save both files and in the template, insert your art.
If for any reason you are unable to access the template file, please contact us by email: info@berci.pt indicating your name and order number.

ATTENTION: The elements located beyond the cut line (in red), will not appear in the final part once cuted.

File resolution and scale

For JPG image formats we recommend the following solutions for uploading your file:
  1. For files up to 3m in length, the longest part, the optimal resolution of a document is between 100-150 dpi on a 1: 1 scale (actual size) of the final image to be printed.
  2. For an image greater than 3m a resolution of 100ppp, on a 1: 1 scale (actual size) of the final image to be printed, is sufficient to achieve a good result.
  3. For sizes greater than 5 m on one side, we recommend working on a 1:10 scale with a resolution of 1000 dpi.

Typography

To ensure the correct reproduction of typographic families used in your art you must convert all texts into vectors/curves.
The contours of the converted texts become composite lines fixed inside the document, avoiding the possibility that the source may suffer any type of alteration.

You can convert your text into outlines using the following paths depending on the software used:
1. Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign: With text selected: Text> Create outlines

Perform this step only when you are sure that the text will not suffer further changes, once converted, the text will no longer be editable.

Bleed Margin

For arts that have a "Contour" cut, it is always necessary to include a 2mm bleed along the perimeter of the printing zone, this will avoid possible white edges during the cutting process.

For pieces with "Square / rectangular" cut you should send your file without bleed and adjusted to the final dimensions you want.
We recommend that you consult the instructions for each product to make sure that your part is correctly executed.

ICC Color and Profile

To ensure the best color reproduction of your project, you must assign the appropriate color profile to the documents. BERCI uses the "Coated FOGRA39" color profile (ISO 12647-2: 2004).
You can assign this same color profile to your documents as follows:

1. Adobe Illustrator / InDesign /: File> Document Color Mode> CMYK Color Photoshop /: Image> Mode> CMYK
2. Adobe Illustrator / InDesign / Photoshop: Edit> Assign Profile> Coated FOGRA39 "(ISO 12647-2: 2004).

We would like to draw your attention to the fact that, for example, some printing materials absorb more ink than others. For this reason, despite the latest state-of-the-art printing equipment, unfortunately, we can not guarantee the exact reproduction of the colors shown on the screen. The deviations of color generated by this reason cannot be grounds for complaint. If you need help with this item please send us an email to info@berci.pt with your name and order number.

Transparencies

If your artwork has transparencies effects (such as soft shadows or blurry objects), we recommend that you rasterize the entire illustration and then choose to send the artwork in JPG format.
This reduces the possibility of errors related to other transparency treatment processes.

You can export to JPG format directly from Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop: File> Export> Select JPG

Safety distance

The safety distance is directly related to the dimensions of the file and it is difficult to establish an absolute reference. We advise you to leave a minimum clearance of 2mm on the long side of the part, both vertically and horizontally.

ATTENTION: If your final artwork is going to be reinforced will need eyelets, you should add 5cm to the result.
